Solar farm Voorst

45 MWp Solar farm in Voorst, The Netherlands

BLIX supervises the development of largescale ground-bound solar farm Voorst (A1 highway near municipality of Wilp). This has led to the obtaining of all required permits, SDE+ subsidy grant, power purchase agreement with Eneco and contracting Engie. The solar farm covers approximately 38 hectares and will have a maximum capacity of 45 MWp. This is equivalent to green electricity for 12,000 households.

Now, after financial close, construction starts and BLIX will take up construction management and site inspections. Engie will supply, install and maintain the components, including the solar panels and the civil-electrical works. The 116,000 solar panels come at a maximum height of 2.5 meters so sheep can continue to graze beneath. The solar farm will be operational in the fall of 2020.
